Renault 5

The Renault 5 was presented to the world press in French Brittany in January 1972, it was a new concept of car, the so-called multipurpose, since they could combine urban traffic with reasonable road or motorway performance, without detracting from performance. and behavior if we compare them with the average sedans of the time, these took advantage of them in practicality if they had a rear hatch.
We are in front of one of the first multipurpose cars.

Our unit is a model 950 from 1974 Manufactured in Valladolid by Fasa-Renault.
When we found it, it was in a “preserved” state, dormant in an old ship and preserving all its originality and the care that its first and only owner had given it. Always stored in the garage out of the elements made this unit safe from corrosion. After a dynamic test and a reconnaissance, we determined that this car needed a mechanical update, consisting of a clutch change (it still had the original one), seals change, carburetion check, oil change and spark plugs, we also put a new one. new battery, wiper blades and brakes.
As for the aesthetic section, it was enough to renew the paint in its original color and change the chrome trim on the front windshield and rear glass.
In this way we brought back to life this dear and friendly utility who had been asleep for years.
